It’s tradition for my family to go hunting on both Boxing Day and New Years Day. Whilst I didn’t manage to get out on boxing day, I was lucky enough to be offered the ride on one of my best friend’s Connemara pony for the New Years Day meet.
Connemaras
I must say I’m a Connemara convert. They are wonderful ponies. I can definitely see why my friend has decided to ditch the horses and keep Connemaras instead! We had the most enjoyable day. You know a good day has been had when the ponies are plastered in mud and the riders still have happy faces by the end of the day!
