A Homemade Christmas
Living in a rural location, Christmas for us is all about what natural resources we can gather from around the farm to make festive decorations out of. Whislt not harvested from the farm, this week we’ve made orange and clove pomander balls. These not only look great, they smell wonderful too and our house is starting to smell a little bit like Christmas.
How to make them
These gorgeous decorations couldn’t be more easy to make. Simply purchase some large oranges and cloves. The beauty with these decorations is that there’s no plan you have to stick to, allowing you and the family to be as creative as you like. If you’d like to hang them, we found it best to slice a hole though the top of the orange and then thread a piece of string through.
What you will need
- Big oranges
- Cloves
- String or festive ribbon
- A sharp knife
