On the 1st August 2015, it’s International Helmet Awareness Day 2015 and I wanted to show my personal support to such an important day for raising awareness.
It’s so important to wear a riding hat, no matter whether you’re a novice or a proffessional. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve seen a fall and we’ve all said: “Thank god they were wearing a hat.”
A hat should be replaced every 5 years or after a significant fall.
Riders, please use this day to check your hat. Does it still fit snug on your head? Does it still meet riding hat safety standards?
